Global Temperature is abut representing data in a conceptual form. The information chosen is about the worlds global temperature, I chose to use for recent temperatures to show how the temperature is changing. The data is shown by the amount of lights inside the ornament. The data is also shown from colour, every colour represents a different year. The lower temperatures showing cooler tones while warmer temperatures show hot tones. The text being engraved show the exact amounts of the data.

The data is counted by the amount of lights being placed inside the ornament. 20 lights would be counted as 100% which would also equal to the hottest temperature. All the temperatures would be calculated into a percent then calculate how many lights from the percentage.

The intention of the project is to show the increase of the global temperature and how fast the temperature is growing. For the audience I hope they could feel familiarity to the light bulbs, to give attention to what the object is representing. The audience would first experience the colder temperatures but then would see the warmer colours to create a sense of urgency. From seeing my piece, I hope the audience would understand the drastic change in the past years and would feel scared if they continue to try to ignore the large increase of temperature.
